Builders of the Crimea bridge have successfully installed the railway arch on the piers in the Kerch Strait, reports the information portal “The Bridge to Crimea”.
The railway arch was raised and securely fixed on the piers on the height of 35 meters from the water surface.  The massive 6-thousand tone arch was constructed onshore and moved to its place of instalment to span the middle of the 19-kilometre (12-mile) bridge on Sunday using a complicated transportation system. The operation was carried out under inspection of the leading project engineers and lasted around 12 hours.
The final assembly work will be completed in three weeks.
