The main structural components of the Kerch Strait Bridge highway section are 70% ready. “The Crimea Bridge” news portal reports that construction of the bridge is half completed taking into consideration structural components of the highway and railway sections.

The chief of the FSI Uprdor “Taman” Roman Novikov states that “Speaking about the highway section, it is completed by 70%. For example, the foundation of the road piles is completed by 98%. Construction of the piles is completed by 80%: 45 high offshore piles are left to be submerged. The arch spans are completed by 60% and the roadway slab-by 40%”.

Bridge construction is carried out in accordance with the established schedule. Highway on the Kerch Strait Bridge will be open to traffic in December 2018 and railway traffic in December 2019.
