With four days of fully booked exhibition halls, crowded corridors and an inspiring programme of events, the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR 2018 was a resounding success. Due to a total of 2,770 suppliers from 58 countries and more than 47,000 trade visitors from 143 countries, the trade fair was able to enjoy significant growth in visitor numbers. Decision-makers from all over the world were on site to explore new products, innovations and trends from the industry. In terms of internationality, the trade fair was also enjoying further growth: 87 percent of exhibitors and more than 70 percent of visitors came from abroad.
The overall 9 percent increase in the number of visitors is mainly due to the increased number of trade visitors from abroad. Substantial growth came primarily from Asia, North and South America, Africa and the Russian Federation, with 12 percent more trade visitors coming from the United States alone.
The topic of digitization was one of the trendsetting themes at the INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR 2018. Among the highlights were the two-day dSummit with talks and exhibitors in the environment of the EISENforum, the start-up village and the special show “3D Printing – Additive Manufacturing”.
The next INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR will be held in 2020.
