The new bridge has the working title "Central". It will connect Ippodromskaya Street on the right bank with Station Street on the left and will run parallel to the existing railway crossing.

The thrusting started in March 2021. Upon completion of construction, the span will be 776 meters long, with a total weight of 10.4 thousand tons. Construction is carried out with the use of high-strength fasteners ZVK "BERVEL" LLC.

Now the assembly of metal structures of the 7th stage is underway. Work is being carried out simultaneously at 8 sites on both banks around the clock. The largest construction of a bridge crossing with a height of 114 meters - a pylon in the shape of the letter "H" - is growing before our eyes: the formwork is rearranged every 9 days, the pylon grows by 4 meters. There will be only 29 such "rearrangements".

The pylon with the help of cable-stayed structures will hold the continuous metal superstructure of the bridge 380.63 running meters long. This will allow preserving the park adjacent to the Mikhailovskaya embankment while preserving two monuments - bridge builders and Alexander III.
