According to the statistics from the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the total export share of Russian metals and iron and steel products for the foreign countries has made up 9,1 % (compared to 8,0% in January 2016).

The total value of export of the above-mentioned products has increased by 66,4% compared to January 2016 and the volume of exporthas increased by 12,0 %. The volume of copper and copper-alloy exporthas increased by 2,2 times, aluminium by 17,6 % and semi-finished iron and non-alloy steel products by 8,7%. At the same time the volume of flat-rolled iron and non-alloy products has increased by 3,6%.

The export share of metals and metal products to the CIS countries in January 2017 has made up 11,6 % (in January 2016-8,7%). The total export value of this product has increased by 78,7% compared to January 2016.  The volume of ferro-alloy exporthas increased by 2,2 times, ferrous metals and products manufactured from them by 79,4% and flat-rolled iron and non-alloy products has increased by 46,5%.
