In the 3^rd quarter of 2017 the builders of the Kerch Strait Bridge will deliver and assemble arches of 10 thousand tons total weight. The assembly of such overall metal structures in the offshore is held by Russian bridge builders for the first time, reports the information portal “The Bridge to Crimea”.

Arches are the largest constructions at the Kerch Strait Bridge. The total weight of the railway arch is about 6.000 tons and the total weight of the highway arch is more than 4.000 tons. The length of each arch is 227 meters. They will be assembled to span the Kerch-Yenikalskiy Canal ship channel at the altitude of 35 meters above sea level.
